Fairmont Village allows each resident the freedom of choice in their customary routine with the assistance of trained and knowledgeable caregivers 24 hours a day. We will guide them along a journey of discovery each day. We encourage engagement through purposeful activity and strive to constantly introduce new programs to enhance the mind, body and spirit to keep our residents’ independence for as long as possible.
Our experienced professional care team is provided extensive training and oversight by our Clinical Director Dr. Julia Lesselyong, PsyD. in non-pharmacological approaches to care, in order to minimize behaviors and to enhance quality of life. Each and every staff is also trained in how to make a connection with each resident to assist in making a positive difference in their lives.
You can rest easy knowing your family members are in the best hands, receiving the best possible care.
Nutritional management is a major dementia limitation and the act of eating caused by dementia has a profound impact on the actual eating process. Therefore, special care will be given to make sure the dining room is comfortable and relaxing during mealtimes, that residents can eat at their own pace and that staff are trained in what foods will enhance the dietary experience. Snacks are available 24/7 for any resident who needs extra intake or just enjoys a special snack as if in their own home. Hydration is also an important part of the dietary process with special hydration carts and snacks that provide much needed fluids.
Fairmont Village Activities are designed to heighten and preserve quality of life. A variety of activities will be offered throughout the day and will be centered on each person’s interests and abilities. Exercise, mental stimulation, socialization opportunities, arts and crafts, and entertainment will be a part of the activity program. Residents will also be provided with independent opportunities in their rooms and with one to one activity to assist in improving comfort levels. Special events and themed events will be a part of the program, as well as religious services and visits. We believe that staying involved in meaningful activities maintains function and enhances value to each resident’s life. We encourage families to participate in our events as well!
Fairmont Village has preferred partners with Home Health and Hospice providers in the community but is open to family/resident preferences. We are able to continue to care for your loved ones even if placed on Hospice care.
